Once the IMEI number has been entered you will be
brought to the vehicle status and testing screen.
The vehicle status screen will allow you to test proper
installation and function of you Vehicle tracking unit
though the following options.
Current GPS Status –
The most recent report from the
tracking unit
Location Address
– shows an approximate address of
the vehicle’s current GPS location.
Refresh Status –
Refresh the screen to show the most
recent location report.
Ping –
Requests for the tracking unit to send its current
location and status.
Enable Ignition –
Enables Starter if optional starter
disable equipment is installed.
Disable Ignition-
Disables Starter if optional starter
disable equipment is installed.
Unlock Door
– Unlocks door if optional door unlock
circuit has been installed.
Troubleshooting
The StreetEagle GPS tracking unit has 2 LEDs on the
front of the unit that indicates proper operation:
Orange - Blinks then turns solid when cell signal is
acquired.
Green – Blinks then turns solid when GPS signal is
acquired.
Both lights should be lit solid during proper operation
when the vehicles ignition is on and vehicle is in an area
with a clear view of the sky and good cellular coverage.
Problem –
LED’s not on.
Solution -
The unit is not getting constant (battery)
power.
Problem –
Orange LED is blinking, no cell signal.
Solution -
Check for proper installation of the unit.
Problem -
Green LED is not on, no GPS signal.
Solution -
Verify proper installation of unit; verify that the
VTU has a clear view of the sky, with the proper side up
facing the sky.
