Your Stoll Gas Log Grate Heater must be assembled and installed correctly. 

Please read and follow all instructions carefully.  Incorrect assembly or installation could result in a damaged 
Grate Heater and/or a dangerous condition.  Failure to heed these warnings could result in a fire and/or loss of 
life and property.  If you do not feel confident that you are equipped to complete the assembly and the installation 
properly please contact your Stoll Dealer to arrange professional installation. 

If you have questions:

 

Contact your Stoll Fireplace Dealer or Stoll Fireplace, Inc. before proceeding with installation. 



Unpack the Gas Log Grate Heater and identify all of the parts listed in the parts list above.  Place the Gas Log Grate on a 
flat surface with the manifolds facing toward you in preparation for assembly. 

 



Thread the 2) 

” x 4” Leveling Bolts into tapped holes on the back of the Grate with the screw heads on top.  (

Locate the electrical power source nearest the fireplace.  The Blower can be installed on the left or right side of the Grate 
Heater.  The Blower, the Heat Transfer Plate, and Power Cord should be installed on the side closest to the wall outlet. 



Remove cover from the Blower Assembly.  (

)  Install the Blower to the manifold on the side nearest the power 

outlet.  Tip the Grate up and fasten using 2) 1/4-20 screws through the blower flange into the manifold flange.  (

Attach the Warm Air Outlet Vent Assembly to the other manifold with 2) 1/4-20 screws.  (

Attach the Heat Transfer Plate (“L” shaped metal part) to the screws holding the thermal Snap Disk to the back side of the 
blower housing using the two nuts provided.  (

Slide the Rubber Grommet onto the Power Cord.  Insert the Rubber Grommet into the cutout in the Switch Case nearest 
the power outlet.  Install the Rubber Plug into the unused cutout in the opposite end of the switch case.  (

Connect the Power Cord to the Blower wiring.  Connect Green to Green.  Connect Power Cord White to Black from the 
Blower.  Connect Power Cord Black to Black from Speed Switch.  See the Wiring Diagram (

Reinstall the Blower Assembly cover using the fasteners removed in Step 4.  (

Assemble the Vent Trim Cover by sliding the two cover halves together and attach to the Gas Log Grate Heater.  The 
Vent Trim Cover must be trimmed to size.  If the Gas Log Grate Heater is to be used with a fireplace enclosure, trim the 
Vent Trim Cover to the same width as the fireplace enclosure.  Alternately trim the Vent Trim Cover to the width of the 
fireplace opening.  Install the End Caps on the Vent Trim Cover with the cord cutout on the Blower end.  (

Reinstall the Vent Trim Cover onto the Grate Heater and fasten securely with 2 screws.  Install the Switch Knob. 

NOTE:

  The Vent Trim Cover will not be used on Stoll Enclosures with laser cut vents in the frame. 



Install the assembled Gas Log Grate Heater into the fireplace.  Level the grate using the leg leveling bolts.  (
