Cooking on the Induction Cooktop
1. Connection
• When the mains power supply is switched on, the buzzer beeps once
and all the indicators light up for one second and then go out. This
indicates that the Induction Cooktop has entered
standby mode
.
• When the cooktop is in standby mode, none of the indicator lights are
illuminated and the controls are disabled, except for the ON/OFF and
CHILD LOCK buttons.
2. Powering on/off
• Touch the ON/OFF button to power on (Fig. 8). The buzzer beeps
once and all displays show “–” or “– –”, indicating that the
induction cooktop has entered
power on status
.
• When the cooktop is on, touch the ON/OFF button to switch
off all cooking zones. If you touch the button again, the
cooktop will enter power on status again.
3. Cooking zone and heat level selection
• Place a suitable pan on the cooking zone. Make sure the bottom of the
pan and the surface of the cooking zone are both clean and dry.
• Touch the cooking zone selection control and the respective
indicator light (next to the control) will start flashing (Fig. 9).
• Select a heat level by touching the [ - / + ] control. The default
setting is “5”; you can adjust the level from “1” to “9”.
IMPORTANT:
If you do not choose a heat level within one
minute, the cooktop will automatically switch off and you will
need to start again at step 2.
• See page 23 for recommended heat levels. You can modify the heat level
at any time during cooking, just touch the cooking zone control first.
Cooling fan
When the cooktop starts heating, the cooling fan will start operating. When a
cooking zone has been switched off, the cooling fan will keep working for an

PAN DETECTOR
When you remove a pot from a cooking zone, the cooktop will stop
heating immediately and the cooktop will switch off automatically after
one minute. However, do not rely on this feature; always switch off a
cooking zone when you have finished cooking.
