10.2 Overheating alarm “A2”
(low priority alarm condition)

Device response
•
The temperature increases in controlled state to 1.0 °C
above the set temperature
.
•
If this condition lasts for more than 10 minutes, the
acoustic alarm is triggered, the “Alarm” LED
turns on
and the display
shows “A2”.
Alarm condition
This alarm is displayed when the difference of the applied
part’s actual temperature
to the set temperature is
≥ 1.0 °C higher.
Possible reasons
►Required
action(s)
Set temperature is decreasing.
►Cooling phase, no action necessary.
►Press the “Start” button to reset the alarm.
Set temperature is increased. Applied part produces a
temperature overshoot.
►Press the “Start” button to reset the alarm.
Applied part is being influenced by an external heat source.
►Remove the external heat source.
Applied part defective.
►Send the applied part to the local sales point.
Required action(s)
for resetting
Press the “Start”
button to return the ASTOPAD to the
control mode.
As soon as the set temperature is reached or the alarm is
reset, the acoustic overheating alarm “A2” will be sup-
pressed for 10 minutes according to IEC/EN 80601-2-35.
