The STIHL balancer accurately
measures radial and axial out-of-
balance on cutting attachments with two
or more teeth.
WARNING
Out-of-balance causes vibrations on
high speed cutting attachments which
are transmitted to the power tool and
increase the risk of accidents.
Do not exceed the maximum limit for
imbalance specified by STIHL.
Out-of-balance can occur when the
teeth of cutting attachments are
resharpened unevenly.

Test the cutting attachment during
or after resharpening.

Mount the balancer on a vertical
surface, leaving sufficient clearance
for larger cutting attachments.
N
Protect the balance from dust and
dirt.
Fitting the Cutting Attachment

Push the annular magnet (1) back
against the mounting.
