4.1 ENGINE

4.1.1 Engine tuning and maintenance

Kindly refer to the Manuals and the Technical Documentation supplied by the Manufacturer for

information on all interventions on the engine, such as adjustments, maintenance, removal and

replacement of components.

If in doubt of for any further assistance, please contact the Manufacturer or an authorised Service

Centre.

4.1.2 Removal of the engine

• Follow steps 1 to 5 of the "Replacing the drive belt” procedure

5.2.4].

1. FIRST disconnect the black ground cable from the battery, and THEN the red cable, to prevent

possible short circuits and dangerous situations.

Disconnect the fuel delivery pipe, taking care not to spill fuel.

3. Remove all engine connections:

• the accelerator cable;

• the choke cable;

• the cabling connector;

• the starter motor connector;

• the ground cables;

• the venting tube.

4. Measure the projecting part of the pin (1) in re-

lation to the nut (2), then loosen the nut (2) and

release the tensioner spring (3).
