5.
Check that the two locking systems
(fig. 18.A) are engaged and the cutting-
means assembly
is in a stable position.
6.
Perform the required maintenance
to the cutting-means.
The machine is equipped with
a safety system which does not allow the
engagement of the cutting means when in
the wash and maintenance position.
It is strictly forbidden to attempt to
engage the cutting means when in the
wash and maintenance position.
To bring the cutting-means assembly
back to the working position:
7.
Grasp the front edge of the cutting-
means assembly and lift it slightly.
8.
Press the two “Quick Flip” (fig. 19.A) release
levers to release the two locking systems (fig.
18.A) and slowly lower the cutting-means
assembly accompanying it with your hands.
9.
Lift one side of the cutting-means
assembly slightly rotating the support arms
release lever (fig. 20.A) to couple the rear
section of the cutting-means assembly.
Perform the operation on both sides.
10.
After washing with water, start the
machine and the cutting means to remove
any excess water that could penetrate
the bearings and cause damage.
11.
Connect the connector (fig. 14.B)
to the socket (fig. 14.A).
7.3 NUTS AND BOLTS
•
Keep all nuts, bolts and screws tight to be sure
the equipment is in safe working condition.
•
Regularly check that the chute fastening
nuts are tightened correctly.
7.4 CLEANING
•
Bring the cutting-means assembly
to the wash position.
•
Clean the lower section of the cutting-means
assembly carefully using water and a brush.
IMPORTANT
Never use high
pressure jets of water. This could
damage the electrical components.
•
If wear and tear has caused scratching
or removal of paint, touch-up the area
when it is perfectly clean and dry.
7.5 LUBRICATION
All points listed in the following table must be
lubricated every 50 hours of operation and
after each time the machine is washed.

8. OCCASIONAL MAINTENANCE
8.1 CHECKING AND REPLACING
THE CUTTING-MEANS
NOTE
A badly sharpened cutting means pulls
at the grass and causes the lawn to turn yellow.
All work on the cutting means
(disassembly, sharpening, balancing,
repairing, reassembly and/or replacing)
are demanding jobs that require special
skills as well as special tools. For
safety reasons, these jobs are best
carried out at a Specialised Centre.
Make sure damaged, misshapen
or worn cutting means are replaced
as a whole unit, together with its own
screws in place to preserve balance.
IMPORTANT
Cutting means should
be replaced in pairs, especially when
there are marked differences in wear.
IMPORTANT
Always use original
cutting means bearing the code
indicated in the “Technical Data”.
Given product evolution, the cutting means
listed in the "Technical Data" table may be
replaced in time with others having similar
interchangeable and operating safety features.
8.2 CHECKING AND REPLACING
THE CUTTING-MEANS
TRANSMISSION BELT
Check that the belt is intact and there are no
signs of wear and tear. If the belt is damaged
or worn, it must be replaced. If necessary,
contact the authorised service centre.
