7.13 AUXILIARY (BACKUP) HAND

CONTROL REPLACEMENT

Replace Auxiliary (Backup) Hand Control as follows:

1. Turn Main Power Switch to OFF and remove

battery fuse (refer to supplied Operator Manual for
more information).

2. Remove table column cover per

3. Remove appropriate base cover per

4. Disconnect P5 connector from motherboard (see

Figure 7-23).

5. Cut strip and remove cable from cable chain.

6. Units with Auxiliary Control Drawer, proceed to

Step 7

. For Units with Auxiliary Compartment,

remove and replace Hand Control.

7. Open and pull out Auxiliary Control Drawer.

8. Unscrew and remove Auxiliary Control drawer

support (see Figure 7-24).

9. Pull drawer and Hand Control from the table base

together.

10. Remove Hand Control from drawer and replace.
11. Reinstall drawer and Hand Control by reversing

procedure.

12. Test table operation using Auxiliary (Backup)

Hand Control before replacing covers.

7.14 TABLE COLUMN COVER CAP

REPLACEMENT

Replace the surgical table column cover plastic cap
assembly as follows:

1. Position tabletop to level, slide at zero.
2. Raise tabletop to full height.

3. Properly support tabletop as in later steps Tilt is

disconnected (see

Step 9

4. Turn Main Power Switch to OFF and remove

battery fuse (refer to supplied Operator Manual for
more information).

5. Unplug hand control from Connection Panel (see

Figure 7-25).

6. Remove six upper fastening screws.

7. Lower table column covers

8. Carefully separate the column cover cap halves and

disconnect cable from connector P3 to motherboard.

9. Verify tabletop is supported. Unscrew tilt cylinder

rod.

10. Remove plastic column cover cap.
11. Reinstall cover by reversing procedure.
