7.17 TILT CYLINDER REPLACEMENT
Replace the Tilt hydraulic cylinder as follows:
1. Position tabletop to level, slide at zero.
2. Raise tabletop to full height.
3. Properly support tabletop for when Tilt is
disconnected tabletop is free to move.
4. Turn Main Power Switch to OFF and remove
battery fuse (refer to supplied Operator Manual for
more information).
5. Remove six lower screws from table column plastic
cap (see Figure 7-21) and allow table column cover
to lower to base cover.
6. Unscrew tilt cylinder rod (see Figure 7-21).
7. Remove three upper screws from tilt cylinder side
column plastic cap and remove cap.
NOTE: If bellows are damaged, remove and replace at
this time.
8. Remove snap ring and cylinder pin from bottom
mounting bracket (see Figure 7-25).
9. Remove and discard both hydraulic screws and
sealing washers.
10. Replace hydraulic cylinder and reassemble by
reversing procedure.
NOTE: When reassembling the tilt hydraulic cylinder, note
the following:
1) Replace (do not reuse) hydraulic screws and sealing
washers (see Figure 7-25). Ensure bolt threads,
manifold threads and hose connectors are free of
rubber seal particles.
2) Torque new screws to 12 N•m (106 lbf•in).
3) Ensure distance between cylinder shaft and nut is
1-1/8" (29 mm) - see Figure 7-22.
4) After reassembly, ensure all table functions operate
properly.
5) Check hydraulic oil level with table completely
lowered and tabletop level. Level should be 2-9/16"
(65 mm).

7.18 TRENDELENBURG CYLINDER
REPLACEMENT
Replace the Trendelenburg hydraulic cylinder as
follows:
1. Position tabletop to level, slide to maximum head
end.
2. Remove leg section.
3. Raise tabletop to full height.
4. Position tabletop to maximum Trendelenburg.
5. Properly support tabletop for when Trendelenburg
is disconnected tabletop is free to move.
6. Turn Main Power Switch to OFF and remove
battery fuse (refer to supplied Operator Manual for
more information).
7. Remove six lower screws from table column plastic
cap (see Figure 7-21) and allow table column cover
to lower to base cover.
