A 12” hand clamp makes it easier to assemble the element plate with the
element supports. This will hold the plate in position before tightening.
EST Extension will extend past the saddles 1/2”. this will allow the driv-
en housing to fit between the two pieces of fiberglass.
Slide the return EST 70-2028-01 into the aluminum splice of the return
EST 70-2027-01. Both fiberglass poles will be butted together inside the
6” splice. Then secure the assembly to the return plate using the 1 3/4”
saddles shown in the this figure. Torque EST exstension saddle bolts to
7 ft lbs (9.5Nm) this torque will prevent the fiberglass from breaking and
cracking.
