STEP 4

STEP 5

Install brackets on handlebars where speakers do not obstruct the riders view (such as the

handlebars, engine guards or highway/crash bars). Use allen screw

s

 that is included on the

bracket.  The clamps themselves will tighten to the bar when the speakers are installed

Once brackets are installed, add the speakers:

A) Remove the nut and lock washer only and feed the speaker wire through the bracket hole and

attach each speaker to the bracket. Put the lock washer and nut back on through the wire and

tighten speaker to

bracket

. (Flat washer and lock washer go on the bottom).

Do not over-tighten!

Adjust the speakers so they are directed at the rider’s head. To adjust, just slightly loosen the nut

on the speaker stem and move the speaker up or down to align.  Make sure all screws are

securely fastened and tightened.

Route speaker wires through the bike’s frame to where the amplifier will be installed and

proceed to the next steps in amplifier and power connection.

SECURE THE WIRING AWAY FROM MOVING PARTS, PINCH POINTS, OR EXTREME HEAT. STEEL

HORSE  AUDIO  WILL  NOT  PROVIDE  WARRANTY  COVERAGE  ON  ANY  ELECTRICAL  COMPONENT

THAT FAILS DUE TO PINCHED, CRIMPED, BROKEN, ABRADED, MELTED, OR FRAYED WIRES.

AMPLIFIER & POWER CONNECTION

STEP 1

STEP 1

AMPLIFIER MOUNTING

Find a place

to

mount the amplifier such as a tool compartment, under the seat, fork bag,

saddlebag, swing arm bag, windshield bag, etc. Most places will be fine, but try to avoid

areas that could cause extreme overheating (such as tight places wrapped in foam or

cotton).

Remember, t

he amp can get

wet, it is

waterproof!

 (follow Kenwood instructions)

AMPLIFIER POWER

AND CONTROL

CONNECTION

Connect the

Yellow

power wire from the wire harness to the positive terminal on the battery.

The Black wire is a ground wire and needs to be attached to the negative terminal on the

battery. (or to the vehicle’s chassis where paint has been removed

.

The shorter the wire, the better

)

Take the Blue (w/ white stripe) remote-on wire and run it to to a switched power source (headlight,

taillight, etc). If blue, yellow & black wires are not connected, system will NOT work.

Wait to

plug

harness in to amplifier

 until

you complete next

 step

s

.

Mount the remote using the supplied strap mount and run the remote control wire from the

handlebar (or wherever you mount the controller) to the amplifier.
