Software Installation
When the computer is booted up following the physical installation of the PCI Express card, the
operating system will detect the presence of the card within the computer system and prompt
for software installation:
1. The Found New Hardware Wizard will appear. When asked if you want Windows to search for
software, select
No, not this time
, then click
Next
to continue:
2. On the screen that follows, select
Install from a list or specific location
, then click on
Next
.
3. On the screen that follows, select
Search for the best driver in these locations.
Ensure
there is a checkmark next to
Include this location in the search
, then click
Browse
to locate
the correct file. (Please note: The correct file can be located on the accompanying CD in the
MCS9922
folder).
Once you’ve specified the correct file, please click Next to continue.
4. A Windows security warning will appear, notifying you that the software you are installing
has not passed Windows Logo testing. Please click on
Continue Anyway

5. Once the driver files have been installed, you will be notified that the Wizard has finished
installing the software for “High Speed PCIe Serial Port”. Please click on
Finish
.
6. PEX2S553:
Repeat steps 1-5 once more for the remaining serial port to be installed.
PEX2S553LP:
Repeat steps 1-5 twice more, once for each of the remaining ports (one serial,
one parallel).
