Attach the Focuser Gear
Slide the included brass gear onto the smaller fine-focus shaft of the focuser. The gear hub with the set
screw goes
toward
the focuser, and the gear teeth should be
away
from the focuser as shown. The gear
should slide all the way onto the shaft. Leave a tiny gap between the brass gear and the brass portion of
the focuser so there is no drag. Use the included 1.5mm hex wrench to tighten the gear set screw.

Attach the Stepper Motor
Slide the stepper motor over the gear and onto the silver cylindrical portion of the focuser. You may
need to wiggle the motor a bit to get the gear teeth to mesh. The motor should go almost all the way
over the silver part of the focuser when the gears are fully meshed. Use the included 7/64” hex wrench
to tighten the clamp screw on the stepper motor.
