Remove all jewelry before you service the vehicle.
•
Do not allow loose clothing or hair to contact the moving parts.
•
Do not touch hot objects.
•
The drive wheels must be lifted and sup- ported on jack stands before you do any
service to the power train when the motor is in operation.
•
When you service the vehicle, always wear eye protection. Be careful when you do
work around batteries or you use solvents or compressed air.
•
Use wrenches with insulation to decrease the risk of a short-circuit if a wrench falls
across the battery terminals. A battery short-circuit can cause an explosion.
•
To prevent the risk of battery explosion, keep all flammable materials, open flames
or sparks away from the batteries.
•
Hydrogen gas is made as batteries are charged. Do not charge batteries without
good ventilation.
