Chapter 3  Troubleshooting and Maintenance

Cleaning

Use the accessory cleaning fluid and cleaning card to clean the rollers inside the machine.  

•

 Frequency of cleaning 

•  To attain the best quality, it is recommended that the machine be cleaned every day.  
  Or, clean once every 300 prints.
•  If errors occur with high frequency, or if there are printing related problems, clean the machine 

each time these occur.  

•  "Information Cleaning" is displayed in the display on stand-alone mode.  When this is displayed, 

clean the machine.  

• Cleaning procedures in terminal mode

  Press the [Cleaning] switch.

  Dampen the felt surfaces (both side) of a cleaning card with cleaning fluid.

3

  Insert the cleaning card from the normal card insertion inlet.

4

  After cleaning, allow the machine to sit for approximately one minute to allow the cleaning fluid 

to dry.  

• Cleaning procedures in stand-alone mode
