12 TOP STRIKE & TOP LATCH INSTALLATION
Place Top Strike (

) onto top face of Door Jamb (

) using only the two Outer Holes (

). Align mounting holes with holes drilled and secure with provided Screws (

). Install Top Latch
(

) to Top Bracket (
12F
) and loosely attach with provided Screws (
12G
) to Top Slots (
12H
) of Bracket (
12F
). Adjust and align Latch (
12E
) with Top Strike (
12A
) and secure by tightening Screws
(
12G
). Mark and drill third Hole (
12J
) on Top Strike (
12A
) as shown. Refer to template for hole size dimensions. Install Screw (
12K
) into third Hole (
12J
) of Top Strike (
12A
).
11 BOTTOM LATCH & ROD INSTALLATION
Install Bottom Latch (
11A
) to Bottom Bracket (
11B
) and loosely attach with provided Screws (
11C
) to the Bottom Slots (
11D
) of Bracket (
11B
). Adjust and align Latch (
11A
) to eliminate interference
with bottom strike or ?nished ?oor. Tighten Screws (
11C
) to secure Latch (
11A
). Screw threaded end of Rod (
11E
) half way onto Bottom Latch Pin (
11F
). Lift Rod (
11E
) up and down to test the
latch spring resistance. Lift and rotate Rod (
11E
) up to connect the Top End (
11G
) of rod with Chassis Actuating Plate (
11H
). Attach Top End (
11G
) of rod to Chassis Actuating Plate (
11H
) by
using the provided Screw (
11J
). Test mechanism by depressing the Push Bar (
11K
) on the Exit Device and making sure that the Bottom Latch (
11A
) clears the bottom strike or ?nished ?oor.
