iMPORTAnT:
Please read carefully before using your electric
glue gun
1. First, insert disconnectable cord into receptacle on handle
end of the gun.
2. Plug other end of the cord into electrical outlet.
3. Insert standard (1/2 inch or 12mm diameter) glue stick. Two
sticks are needed for first time use.
4. Wait three 3 to 6 minutes for gun and glue to heat up.
5. If using gun with cord connected, squeeze trigger to apply
glue.
6. If gun has to be used with the cord disconnected, firmly pull
the cord by holding the plug and then squeeze trigger to
apply glue.
7. In the disconnected mode, the gun may be used for
10 minutes without reheating the gun.
8. To reheat gun, re-insert cord and leave plugged in for at
least 3 minutes.
9. Reload as needed.
10. Unplug tool after use or if it will not be used within a 30
minutes period.
11. Do not attempt to remove unused adhesive from the gun
after use. Any unused adhesive can be stored in the gun.
12. Reheated and used later.
Tips on Using
1. The working time of the hot melts can be extended to 50
to 60 seconds by applying the adhesive in large drops (1/2”
diameter) or shortened to less than 10 seconds by extruding
the adhesive in thin lines.
2. Large areas are difficult to bond because the adhesive
frequently will harden before you have extruded the
required amount.
3. Preheat surfaces (especially metals) to improve bond
strength. Direct sunlight will accomplish this.
4. The adhesive remaining in an unheated glue gun will remelt
upon heating.
5. Do not use items that will be subjected to temperatures
above 140° F (60° C).
6. Do not use hot melt to hold heavy loads.
7. Some paints and stains can weaken the adhesive. You may
need to paint or stain before gluing.
