14.3 TROUBLESHOOTING CHART
SYMPTOM

REMEDY
Use the [
MEM
] key to enter desired
channels into the transceiver’s
memory.
Press the [
SQL
] key and press the
[
] key until the “
” icon disap-
pears. Further adjustment of the
squelch control may eliminate in-
coming signals.
HOLD down the [
16/9
] key and
press the [
CLR
(
WX
)] key.
Charge battery. Refer to section 4
of this manual.
Press the [
VOL
] key and press the
[
] key several times.
Turn the Key Lock to “off”. Refer to
section 5, [
H/L
(
)] key.
Hold down the [
H/L
(
)] key for 2
seconds.
Press the [
SQL
] key and press the
[
] key until the “
” icon disap-
pears.
Turn the DSC SCAN to “on” in the
DSC Setup menu.
Program the MMSI number. Refer
to section 7.2.2 of this manual.

Move to a less obstructed position.
