17. Press the [ H/L ] key to exit from this alignment
item.
TX Deviation Adjustment (DCS)
1. Connect the wattmeter and dummy load to the
antenna jack, then connect the deviation meter
to the antenna jack through the VHF sampling
coupler.
2. Press the [
p
] or [
q
] key to
select the display to “ DCS ”.
3. Press the [ SQL ] key, then
press the [ H/L ] key to enable
adjustment of the TX Devia -
tion (DCS).
4. Press the PTT key to enable
the transmitter and to output
a DC Stone, press the [
p
] or [
q
] key to ad-just
the deviation to 0.6 kHz (±0.1 kHz).
5. Press and hold the [ H/L ] key for 2 seconds to
save the new setting.
6. Press the [ H/L ] key to exit from this alignment
item.
TX Deviation Adjustment (CTCSS)
1. Connect the wattmeter and dummy load to the
antenna jack, then connect the deviation meter
to the antenna jack through the VHF sampling
coupler.
2. Press the [
p
] or [
q
] key to
s e l e c t t h e d i s p l a y t o
“ CTCSS ”.
3. Press the [ SQL ] key, then
press the [ H/L ] key to enable
adjustment of the TX Devia -
tion (CTCSS).
4. Press the PTT key to enable
the transmitter and to output a CTCSS tone,
press the [
p
] or [
q
] key to adjust the deviation
to 0.7 kHz (±0.1 kHz).
5. Press and hold the [ H/L ] key for 2 seconds to
save the new setting.
6. Press the [ H/L ] key to exit from this alignment
item.
Exit from the Alignment mode
To exit from the Alignment mode, turn the trans -
ceiver off.
