Installation
The switching repeater is to be installed outside of hazardous areas.
Type 9170/*1-**-6* switching repeaters are also approved for operation in Zone 2 and Zone
22 hazardous areas.
For this purpose, the modules are to be built into an enclosure which meets the require-
ments of EN 60079-15 or EN 61241-1 (e.g. 8146 enclosure from R. STAHL Schaltgeräte
GmbH).

Mounting and dismounting
a) Detachable terminals
All devices are provided with detachable terminals. A screwdriver is
needed to remove the terminals (as shown in the picture).
