Parameterization and commissioning
Before commissioning, make sure that:
• the device has been installed according to regulations,
• the cables are connected correctly,
• the device and the connection cables are not damaged,
• Screws in the terminals are tightened firmly. Make sure that the correct tightening
torque is used (Tightening torque 0.5 ... 0.6 Nm).

Parameterizations
See device labelling.
When a line fault is detected, the output signal is identical to the input signal.
DANGER
Explosion hazard due to incorrect installation!
Non-compliance results in severe or fatal injuries.
• Check the device for proper installation and function before
commissioning.
• Comply with the national regulations.
When replacing the device with a device identical in design, the DIP switch
might have to be readjusted.
The line fault detection incorporates the output and input. In the device
version 9160/19-..-.. the fault detection refers to the common input and the
respective output. Therefore, open outputs cause a fault message. Unused
active outputs should therefore be connected to a 250 Ω resistor.
Changing the DIP switch settings is also permitted during operation in Zone
2 and with connected intrinsically safe input signals.
