Safety instructions
Only employ the terminal for the permitted purpose.
Incorrect or non-permissible deployment and/or non-compliance with the instructions of
this operating manual shall invalidate any warranty by us.
No changes to the terminal are permitted.
The terminal must only be installed in an undamaged and clean condition.
When deploying the product, the following must be observed:
The national safety regulations
The national accident-prevention regulations
National installation regulations (e.g. IEC 60079-14)
Generally recognised technical regulations
The safety instructions of this operating manual
The characteristic values and measurement operating conditions specified on the type
and data plates
Damages can reduce orr neutralise the explosion protection.

Conformity to standards
The terminal fulfils the following regulations and norms:
Directive 94/9/EC
IEC/EN 60079-0, IEC/EN 60079-7
Terminal type 8180/03 is approved for use in hazardous areas Zones 1 and 2.

Function
The terminal is used to connect or clamp copper-cables in devices and terminal
chambers of the protection type Increased Safety “e“. The terminal is not suitable for
connections with aluminium cores.
