4. Mode selection
The choice of a mode is made by the rotary code
switch in the front panel. The mode can be changed
any time. It is started a second after the last change
and after completion of the active DMX frame.
Modes
4.1 =
0
Booster only, no processing of DMX signal
The signal from the DMX512 input becomes amplified by line driver
chips in each output. There is no signal processing to the DMX512
values and timing. Output signal is equal to input signal.
No output signal without any input signal.
4.2 =
1
buffered, full speed, output level = high
The DMX512 data are processed by the SP1X12 with an optimal
and standard-compliant timing. In case of no DMX512 signal all
outputs are set to high level. (open line).
4.3 =
2
buffered, full speed, Idle-Mode
as mode
1
, but Idle mode in case of no DMX512 signal.
4.4 =
3
buffered, full speed, DMX values = zero
as mode
1
, but all DMX512 values becomes zero in case of no
DMX512 signal.
4.5 =
4
buffered, full speed, hold last values
as mode
1
, but with data hold of last DMX frame in case of no
DMX512 signal.
4.6 =
5
buffered, RETIMER, output level high
The DMX512 data are processed by the SP1X12 with a reduced
DMX512 timing (see timing table). In case of no DMX512 signal all
outputs are set to high level. (open line)
