Storing the values starts with pushing the Store-Button left from the
rotary code switches and is signalized when the DMX IN and the
System LED goes off for a moment.
2.4 Control characteristic (curve)
The control characteristic fixes the dependence of the brightness to
the DMX512 Values. Either a logarithmic or linear curve may be
selected by the DIP-switches S4.2 to S4.5.
The logarithmic curve causes a proportional brightness feeling for
the human eyes. Nevertheless a linear curve could be useful too,
which is selectable by switching on the DIP-switches.
Each store process of an offset value causes a new calculation/
actualizing of the internal curves.
Curve select:
DIP-switch S4.2 to S4.5 (channel 1 to 4)
Logarithmic
OFF Position
Linear
ON Position
2.5 Test utility
To check connected lamps without DMX512 signal select 9 at the
left rotary code switch. This enables the test mode.
Now the code switch in the middle is for the channel and the right
switch is for the brightness from Off (0) up to 100% (9).
2.6 Cable termination
At the end of a DMX512 line (data cable) it is recommended to
connect a 120
Ω
1W resistor between data- (green) and data+ (red).
