The safe must be mounted to a wall stud, and to
a permanent shelf or the floor. For op�mal
safety and security, the safe should be installed
in an isolated, dry and secure area.

NOTE ON LOCKING THE SAFE: The safe needs to
be in an upright posi�on, as shown in figure 1,
for the locking mechanism to func�on properly.
Failure to mount the safe in the correct upright
posi�on will compromise the safety and
security of the safe.

To lock the safe, close the door and turn the
knob to the le� to the 12:00 posi�on.
LOCKING THE SAFE
NOTE ON LOCKING THE SAFE: Because the
locking mechanism is deac�vated for
approximately 3 to 6 seconds a�er the
combina�on is entered, wait a minimum of
6 seconds from the �me the combina�on is
entered to lock the safe. Also, when locking
the safe, always make sure the knob is turned
completely to the le� to the 12:00 posi�on.
If the knob is not turned to the 12:00 posi�on
during the locking process, the locking
mechanism will not lock.
NOTE: Do not mix old and new ba�eries.
Do not mix alkaline, standard or
rechargeable ba�eries.
This safe uses 4 - AA ba�eries. Under normal
use, ba�eries will last about 1 year.
NOTE: If the ba�eries are low, the yellow light
will flash when you start to enter your code.
To replace the ba�eries, open the ba�ery
compartment on the back of the door by
pushing the tab in the direc�on of the arrow
and install all new ba�eries.
