Operating
Instructions- item number 23270
1. First-time use and changing the code:
Remove the cover between the turning knob and the number keypad. Now open the
safe with the help of the override key. Take the key out again and put the cover back into place, making
sure it seats correctly. The above is only necessary when the door is not open anyway.
Now open the cover of the battery compartment and insert 4 batteries (type AA) in the
correct position.
After putting the cover of the battery compartment back into place, press the red button, which is also
located on the inside of the door of the safe. The display will now show a flashing yellow LED light and
a signal will be heard.
Now enter your personal code, which is to be selected from the numbers between 0 and 9 and can
have between 3 and 8 digits. Confirm the entered code by
pressing ‘A’ or ‘B’ on the keypad.
Now you will hear two signals confirming the new code. If you hear 3 signals, the code entry was faulty
or lasted longer than 30 seconds and therefore has to be repeated.
You have now completed the programming. If you want to change the code, you can repeat the above
procedure at any time!
2. Opening the safe:
Enter your personal code and confirm by pressing
‘A’ or ‘B’ on the keypad.
If the entered code is correct, the green LED light will flash and you can open the safe by operating the
round turning knob.If you
don’t open the safe within 5 seconds of entering the code, it will automatically
lock itself again. If the code you have entered is wrong, the yellow LED light will flash. If the wrong code
has been entered three times, the safe will be locked for 20 seconds. If then the wrong code is entered
another three times, the safe will be locked for 5 minutes!
3. Closing the safe:
Close the door and turn the turning knob anticlockwise. Then check that the door has actually locked
properly.
4. Changing the batteries:
When the batteries are weak, the red LED light will flash. In this case you need to replace the
batteries by 4 new or recharged batteries.Once the batteries have lost their charge completely,
the safe can only be opened with the override keys! Therefore you must never keep these inside the
safe!
