To return to the full screen mode press the
key again (for automatic switch between the
available cameras) or you use the / or / keys to display the full image of a particular
camera:
Recording to SD card
The system has a slot for standard SD cards for data storing. If you want to record camera videos,
insert a SD card (max. 32 GB) into the slot. Format the card before the first use; make sure that
the card is not write-protected.
As necessary, recording starts manually or triggered by PIR sensor,

etection or
timer (recording time for each day of the week can be programmed individually).
Automatic Recording
Press
the
motion
key
to activate the
Automatic Recording
Mode
(
MOTION
appears at the
top edge of the monitor): when an active camera detects motion, it automatically starts recording
(recording time 5, 15 or 30 sec., see submenu
Recording
). Pressing the
key again deactivates
the function
Automatic Recording
(
MOTION
goes off).
Note:
If recording shall be triggered exclusively by the PIR sensor, the VMD function (video motion
detection) has to be off!
Recording by video motion detection
First, activate the VMD function in the menu (see submenu
V
ideo
M
otion
D
etection
)! Press the
key to activate the
Automatic Recording Mode
(
MOTION
appears at the top edge of the
monitor). As soon as the system detects motion in the camera image the recording will start
automatically (recording time 5, 15 or 30 sec., see submenu
Recording
).
Pressing the
key again deactivates the function
Automatic Recording
(
MOTION
goes off).
Manual Recording
Press the
Record key
to start the recording, stop the recording by pressing the
key
again.
Scheduled Recording (timer)
You may start recording every day at a certain time (see submenu
Recording
to set the requested
data).
Quad Mode Recording
The image of the monitor in quad mode (simultaneous display of up to four cameras) can also
be recorded; triggering is done manually or automatically as in recording of a full-screen display.
You can set individually if/how the recording of a camera has to be started (by PIR sensor, VDM,
timer or manually).
Playback Mode (viewing mode)
When there is a newly recorded file, the yellow icon
New Recording
is flashing in the display,
NEW
lights up at the top edge of the monitor.
Playback of a recorded file
Press the
key (in full-screen mode) to switch to the viewing mode.
Open the folder
VIDEO
by pressing the
key. The sub-folders are sorted by date (example:
the folder 20120520 is containing the recorded files of May 5, 2012).
