• Battery posts, terminals and related accessories contain
lead and
lead compounds (acid), chemicals known to the State of California
to cause cancer, reproductive harm and are toxic and corrosive.
Never open the battery.
Important!
Before using the Viper for the first time the battery
needs to be charged for a full twenty-four hours (no more than thirty
hours). Only an adult who has read and understands the following
safety warnings should handle, charge or recharge of the battery (see
Maintenance).
Note:
It is not necessary to remove the battery from the vehicle for
charging. However, if the adapter cord will not safely reach a 120V
wall outlet, the battery can be removed for charging (see page 21 for
instructions concerning battery replacement).
• Tampering or modifying the electric circuit system may cause a
shock, fire or explosion and permanently damage the system.
Exposed wiring, circuitry in the charger may cause electric
shock. Always keep the charger housing closed.
