Coarse filter
Larger items, such as pieces of bone or glass, that could clog the d rain are trapped
in the coarse filter. To remove an item cau ght in this filter, gentl y squeeze the tabs
on t op of this filter and lift it out.
For your convenience, we have placed the drain pump and filtering system with in easy reach inside the tub.
There are three compone nts of the filtering system: the main filter, the coarse filter, and the fine filter.

Fine filte r
This filter holds s oil a nd food residue in the sump area and prevents it from being
rede posited on the dishes during a cycle.
Main fil ter
Food and soil particles trapp ed by this filter a re pulverized by a sp ecial jet on
the lower spray arm and washed down the drain.

If your dishwasher is left in an unheated place during the winter, ask a service technician to:
Cut off electrical power to the dishwasher. Remove
fuses or trip circuit breaker.
Turn off the water supply and disconnect the water
inlet pipe from the water valve.
Drain water from the inlet
and water valve.

Reconnect the water inlet
to the
water valve.

Remove the plastic sump cover in the
tub the bottom and use a sponge to
soak up water in rubber boot.

It is nece ssary to clean th e sp ray a rms regularly for hard wa ter chemical s will clo g the spray arm j ets and b earings.
To remove th e sp ray arm, screw o ff the nut to take out the w ashe r on top of th e sp ray arm and remove the arm.
Wash the arms in soapy and warm water an d u se a soft brus h to clea n the jets.
Repl ace them after rinsin g them th oroughl y.

When following this procedure from step1 to step 3, the filter system will be removed;
