White bar C in this screen shows to what extent the soot filter is contaminated and thus regeneration is
needed.
In Picture 3-15 the soot filter is not that contaminated that regeneration is absolute necessary at this
moment. Regeneration can be done if it is convenient. If it is not convenient, touching the button
Exit ( D) will exit the screen. If regeneration is required, it can be realized by touching button Start ( E ).
The following screen will appear (see Picture 3-16 ).
To be able to regenerate, the following conditions must be met:
•
The gearbox must be in neutral position;
•
The parking brake is activated;
•
The PTO is not active;
•
Engine speed control is not active;
•
Idle speed is activated;
•
The engine brake is not activated;
•
The temperature of the coolant is not too high.
Only when all conditions are met (green checkmarks only and no red crosses on screen,
see Picture 3-16 , A), the button Start ( Picture 3-16 , B) can be touched and the following screen
appears ( Picture 3-17 ).
On the right side of the white bar the current time ( Picture 3-17 , A ), which is required to terminate the
regeneration process successfully, is displayed. This counter counts down to 0 minutes.
