Lifting the stretcher

To bring back the stretcher back to the standard height, starting from any of the previous configurations, the operators must coordinate
while simultaneously lifting the front and rear of the stretcher, ensuring the proper alignment of the patient bed. Do not carry out these
operations until you have checked that the patient has been properly restrained with the strap and that the sidebars are raised.
At the rear, grab the part of the frame near the footrest of the patient bed or the telescopic handles if the stretcher is equipped with them.
At the front, similarly grab the frame above the loading trolley or the telescopic handles if the stretcher is equipped with them.
Raise the assembly until the locking mechanisms are properly engaged.

Only use the frame or the telescopic handles for lifting.
Do not use the boards or other areas that are not designed for this purpose.

Telescopic handle operation - Image P26

Carrera Tec TH is equipped with telescopic handles that allow it to  be lifted over small obstacles,  temporarily avoiding the transmission of
stress from the ground to the patient.

To pull out the telescopic handles, press the red button on the top and pull the handles out slightly. After a stroke of about 2cm,

release the buttons and pull the handles until the next locked position is reached, which will lock automatically.

When the locked position is reached, check that it is secure by trying to retract the handles without operating the release buttons.

To close the handles back up, press the unlock buttons and bring the handles to their original position.

Lifting the stretcher with the patient

Secure the patient to the stretcher with the straps provided, adjusting the tension correctly according to the patient's clinical condition.

The operators must stand at the ends of the stretcher (one at the feet and one at the head)

Using an adequate lifting technique to avoid fatigue, operators must grab firmly at both ends. Raise the stretcher.

Spine board housing (Carrera Pro only) -  Image 27

Brake the stretcher (see paragraph 4.3.9), place the spine board with the foot end facing the stretcher housing on the control side (fig. G)
and insert it fully into the end stop on the head end tube of the stretcher frame.

To remove the stretcher, brake the stretcher, grab it from the underside of the Carrera Pro frame to avoid injury to the operator's hands,
and pull it out completely without knocking the spine board to the ground.

Take care during insertion and removal not to cause injury to the patient or the operator by applying excessive force on the device.
