Section 10 - Troubleshooting 

 

Problem 

Possible cause/solution 

Power lights don’t come on. 

Ensure a +24 volt signal on Pin #1 on 
Red connector in reference to Pin #2. 

When logging on to program page, page 

does not load. 

Ensure the IP address was correctly 

typed into the navigation bar.  Ensure 

correct IP address was added to the 

Monster Brain Controller (refer to pages 

9-10). 

Ensure lights on Ethernet port are both lit 

on both the Monster Brain Controller, 

and PC (if applicable).  Crossover cable 

must be used to directly connect 

Monster Brain Controller to PC, 

otherwise use standard cable to connect 

to Ethernet switch/hub. 

“Error” LED is on 

The Monster Brain controller hasn’t 

finished is current product ID timing 

before receiving a new trigger. 

Noise on the trigger lines can cause, use 

voltage divider on input to attenuate 

noise or use shielded cable.
