CEC
(Consumer Electronics Control)
The CEC (Consumer Electronics Control) is a standardised protocol for all brands to control the devices connected to the HDMI® interfaces.
This function is disabled (Off) as standard.
The CEC functions supported by the sound system are:
-
One touch Play:
By pressing the „Play“ button on the Blu-ray player, the sound system automatically powers on and switches to the appropriate HDMI® input.
-
System Standby:
Switching to standby mode when the TV set is powered on by pressing the „Power“ button will also automatically switch the sound system to standby
mode.
Note:
Depending on the programming of the television set, the sound system can be automatically activated again with the TV.
-
Volume/Mute:
Control the volume on the sound system using the mute and volume buttons on the TV remote control.
To enable/disable this function, follow these steps:
1
With the device powered on, press and hold the „Play Mode“ button for more than 3 seconds until
AUT
appears in the display.
2
Press the „Play Mode“ again briefly until
CEC
appears in the display.
3
Press the „“ button to enable the function (ON).
4
Press the „Volume -“ button to disable the function (OFF).
5
Exit the menu by again pressing and holding the „Play Mode“ button for more than 3 seconds. If no input is made within 10 seconds, the unit will automatically exit the
configuration menu.
Note:
A number of device manufacturers develop their own protocols based on the CEC standard to control their own devices. This can lead to the functions mentioned
above only working partially or not at all.
Caution:
To avoid conflicts when controlling the sound system, the „/-“, Mute and Power buttons on the television remote control may not be programmed using
the IR program function on the sound system, when using the CEC function. Please delete the code on the sound system, if necessary (see page 57).
