software installed on a PC.

We remember also that the device PIXEL GPRS / SMS with the command immediate point (##PI) sends
an SMS to mobile phones and smartphone, which are connected to the Internet, allowing the display
of the location of the device maps directly to GOOGLE Maps.
These special encrypted SMS allow the localisation of the PIXEL GPRS/SMS tracker device even
without the use of a PC and a modem.
To view the firmware version installed on the device, use the ‘##D1’ diagnosis command and wait for
the response from the tracker device.
The tracker device will reply with a message whose first line could be:
“PIXEL-GPRS V1.6 – D1” indicating version 1.6 of the firmware
In the diagnostics section and especially following a ##D6 request:
-
the SING:xx parameter indicates the field intensity of the GSM signal currently detected by the
PIXEL GPRS/SMS.
xx = 05 insufficient GSM signal intensity.
xx = 30 optimum GSM signal intensity.
-
the MAIN CELL:xxxx…. parameter indicates the data of the main GSM cell to which the tracker
device is connected. This hexadecimal numerical value is displayed as received by the cell phone.
In the diagnostics section and especially following a ##D7 request:
-
The BATTERY:xxx parameter indicates the input voltage measured by the tracker device. This
value is only valid and reliable when it is powered using the internal stabiliser as described below.
If the red LED on the tracker device flashes, it is possible to detect the number of satellites
connected to the tracker device . Each rapid flash corresponds to a satellite. Note that the flash will
be slow and long lasting if insufficient satellites have been detected to obtain a reliable localisation.
The flashing sequence described above occurs whenever the time range set in the parameter
##TM00005 expires (default is 5 seconds).
