Spectra 10K Library Preventative Maintenance Guide
Final Testing
This procedure must be performed with the library powered on
in stand alone mode
(no host system connected to the library).
1.
Attach SCSI cable connections to the back of the library.
2.
Reconnect AC power to the library.
3.
Turn on power to the library.
4.
Wait for the library to come to a
Unit Ready
state.
Read/Write Confidence Test
Use a scratch tape for the following test. Make sure that all drives are empty and that at
least one slot in the carousel is empty.
