INTRODUCTION

Congratulations on purchasing SpeakerCraft’s TIME Mini Amp/Controller. The TIME Mini Amp/Controller allows control of your TIME

Mini Series Loudspeakers and provides a 150W Subwoofer Amplifier for use with In-wall or In-Ceiling Subwoofers. This allows the user to

control when the TIME Mini Series Loudspeakers are brought into the room and how much bass is supplied to the Subwoofer, all in one

convenient chassis. This Amplifier does not amplify or modify the audio signal going to the TIME Mini Series Loudspeakers. The ampli

-

fier that each TIME Mini Loudspeaker is attached to, controls this sound level and quality. The TIME Mini Amp/Controller only supplies

power to the TIME Mini loudspeaker’s motors and controls when the TIME Mini Loudspeakers are lowered into the room or retracted
into the ceiling.

Note:

All TIME Series Loudspeakers and electronics are a very sophisticated, customizable, and programmable. These

attributes add to the value of this system. However, due to this sophistication and flexibility, SpeakerCraft highly recommends the use
of a qualified custom installation specialist when installing your TIME Loudspeakers and Electronics. If you need assistance in locating

an installer, please contact SpeakerCraft at 1-800-448-0976.

OVERVIEW

1. Power Switch

 – Applies or removes power from the unit.

2. EQ Setting

 – Push the button to cycle through EQ Modes.

3. Subwoofer Phase

 – Push the button to switch between 0° and 180°.

4. Low Pass Filter

 – Set the high limit on frequencies the subwoofer plays.

5. IR Receiver Lens

 – IR signals from the remote control are received through this lens.

6. Subwoofer Volume

– Use this knob to control the subwoofer’s volume.

7. Rack Ears

– Allows you to rack mount the unit.

8. Audio Inputs

 – Left/Right or LFE line level input to the subwoofer amplifier.

9. Audio Outputs

 – Left/Right or LFE cascaded from the inputs without any processing.

10. TIME Mini Speaker Connectors

 – Connect RJ45 Cables to each Time Mini speaker.

11. 12-30V (AC/DC) Trigger Input

 – Connect a 3.5mm voltage trigger to this jack. Voltage detected on this connector lowers the

speakers into the room and activates the subwoofer amplifier.

12. 12V Trigger Output

– Can trigger external devices and is active when speakers are lowered into the room.

13. External IR input

 – This mono 3.5mm input connection allows an un-powered IR input to control the system.

14. IR Receiver Input

– This connection allows one of Speakercraft’s patented SmartPath

TM

IR Receivers with a 3.5mm quad plug to be

directly connected to the Amp/Controller. IR signals can be received through the conveniently mounted external IR Receiver in
case the amp/controller is in a hidden location out of IR range.

15. Subwoofer Amplifier Output

 – Connect these terminals to your in-wall or in-ceiling subwoofer.

16. AC Input Voltage Selection Switch

 – Selection of AC 120V or 240V power source.

IMPORTANT!

The amplifier is designed to use110-120V~/60Hz or 220-240V~/50Hz power. The mode can be selected by switch ac-

cording to your local AC power. Make sure the switch is set to the correct position before plugging the unit in to the outlet. The
application of voltages above those specified by the switch position may cause permanent damage that is not covered by your
warranty. Lower voltages may cause erratic operation. Although the amplifier will operate correctly down to the voltages indi-
cated, low voltage may affect the maximum output power of the unit.

17. AC Power Socket

– Power cord attaches to the unit. Use an IEC cord for this application.

18. Fuse Holder

 – For 110-120VAC operation use the supplied 4A fuse. For 220-240VAC operation use a 2A fuse.
