DETECTING WOOD, METAL AND
“LIVE” WIRES

Detection
1. The device can be operated in 4 detection
modes: STUD (soft wood) / METAL (metal) /
DEEP (hard wood) / AC (alternating current).
Each mode can be selected by pressing the
PUSH
button for 1÷3 seconds and the de
-
vice will beep.
2. After selecting the material to be detected,
place the measuring tool on the surface and
move it slowly. The measuring tool detects
the presence of the specified material in the
points where maximum intensity is regis-
tered.
TEMPERATURE MEASUREMENT
Select temperature measurement by pressing
C/F
button.
LASER LINE
The measuring tool is equipped with a laser line
to check the surface flatness and a built-in mag
-
net for attaching the device to metal surfaces.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
1. The appearance of battery symbol
on
the display indicates battery voltage drop
under 7V (±0.5V). The battery must be re
-
placed. The measuring tool will operate
within 5 minutes after the appearance of this
symbol.
2. Message
“Err”
will be displayed if you at
-
tempt to calculate values beyond the device
measurement range.
3. The device displays the value
“0.00”
during
the first measurement.
4. The device will beep if the signal is high.
5. If you have not pressed any button for a pe
-
riod exceeding 15 seconds the display will
turn off and 30 second later the device will
enter standby mode.
6. Upon placing a battery in the compartment
the device starts to operate in measuring
mode.
7. Upon pressing any button the device will exit
standby mode and will display the last result.
VI – Maintenance
Store and transport the measuring tool only in its
original packing.
Always keep the measuring tool clean. Use a
soft damp cloth and mild detergent to clean the
housing if necessary.
WARNING:
Never use alcohol, petrol
or other cleaning agent. Never use caustic
agents to clean plastic parts.
WARNING:
Water must never come
into contact with the tool.
