A lw ays turn off the electricity supply before cleaning the internal or
external surfaces of the appliance or changing the oven light bulb.
The hob, oven(s), grill and certain external surfaces of this appliance
get hot during use. Take care w hen using the appliance and keep
children w ell aw ay.
N ever turn the ceram ic heat zones on unless you have first positioned
a pan on the surface.
A lw ays ensure that the ceram ic heat zones are clean.
D o not pour cold w ater onto a hot ceram ic heat zone.

Section 3. Operating The Appliance
3.1. Operating the Ceramic Heat Zones
E ach ceram ic heat zone is operated by a control knob (see diagram
below ). V arious heat levels can be achieved by selecting the settings
‘1’ to ‘6’.
S etting ‘0’ is O FF. S etting ‘1’ is LO W and setting ‘6’ is H IG H .
U se pans that have a thick, flat solid base w ith the sam e (or slightly
larger) diam eter than the heating zone being used.

3.2. Operating The Top Oven and Grill
The far right hand control knob controls the top oven. The control is clearly
m arked Top O ven. Turn the control knob clockw ise to operate.
The first setting provides therm ostatically controlled cooking/baking via
the Top and B ottom heating elem ents. S et the control knob to the
required therm ostat setting.
The next setting provides heating from the B ottom heating elem ent
only. The heat output is pre-set at 220 degrees centigrade and is not
therm ostatically controlled.
