If the belts show signs of deterioration (even of small entity), or if the belt tension 
adjustment is not possible because of having reached the maximum limit of tensioning, 
replace the belts. Before the replacement clean both pulleys from rubber residues. 

 

 

A high number of worn belts in a short time is not normal. Please check that the rotor 
rotates freely without obstacles blocking its movement

 

 

 

  Make sure the knives are still sharp uniformly and that they do not show signs of cracks 

or excessive wear. In case their replacement is needed, always use original knives 
supplied by SOVEMA. 

 

  Check the oil level in the gearbox through the oil level plug placed on the side of the 

gearbox (see fig. 4). In case a refill is needed, unplug the filler plug from the top of the 
gearbox and proceed with the filling until the oil is visible again through the level plug. 

 

  It’s recommended to grease the PTO shaft in the evening after work, because having 

just worked the internal components of the cardan are at a temperature that allows 
optimal greasing
