III.E - USAGE
After having completed all safety checks and made sure the harrow is parallel to the
ground, proceed as follows:
•
raise the implement off the ground in order to let the tines start moving without
touching ground to avoid damages
• keeping the implement raised, engage the tractor PTO at suggested engine’s revs
•
start moving the tractor forward and then gradually lower the implement
OPERATING TIPS
Proper ground speed for harrow will depend upon the type of soil and its
conditions. However we suggest not to exceed 5 km/h (3.1 mph)
Lower ground speed allows to grind the soil with better performance. In order to obtain a
opposite result proceed more quickly
During the operation, in order to not cause damages to the harrow,
avoid to steer the implement and avoid to work in reverse. It is always
necessary to raise the implement before making a turn or change of
course, otherwise damages to the skid or roller supports can occur.
The implement must be used only if equipped with all its components as
supplied by SOVEMA (safety devices included). No components can be
modified
