1. Insert the Star Drive Key through the slot in the Flanged 

Spacer  and  Gear  Head,  and  use  the  Spark  Plug  Wrench 

provided  to  remove  the  Blade  Nut  by  turning  clockwise. 

(see Fig. 1) Remove the Blade Nut, Cupped Washer, And 

Flanged Spacer.

2. Remove the Flanged Spacer, and then use the Star Drive 

Key provided to remove the 3 screws from Gear Head at the 

end of Shaft (see Fig. 2). 

3. Install the 3 screws through the Trimmer Guard into the 

Gear Head (see Fig. 3).  Tighten the screws securely.

4.  Put  on  the  Flanged  Spacer,  and  align  the  slot  in  the 

Flanged Spacer with the slot in the Gear Head (see Fig. 4).

5. Insert the Star Drive Key through the slot in the Flanged 

Spacer and Gear Head (see Fig. 5).

6.  Hand  tighten  the  Trimmer  Head  Assembly  onto  the 

shaft of the Gear Head by turning counter-clockwise (see 

Fig. 6).

7. Tighten the Trimmer Head Assembly securely by rotating 

the provided Spanner Wrench counter-clockwise (see Fig. 7).

8. Remove the protective cover from the trimmer line knife 

(see Fig. 8). 

The Trimmer Line Knife is sharp and can cut you (see Fig. 8).

The  Front  Handle  on  your  Trimmer  is  adjustable  for 

your  comfort,  and  requires  adjustment  from  its  shipping 

orientation  before  your  first  use  of  the Trimmer. To  adjust 

the Front Handle:

1. Loosen wing nut on the Front Handle.

2. Adjust  Front  Handle  to  desired  position  and  re-tighten 

wingnut until the handle is secure (see Fig. 9).
