Setting the alarm 

 

• You can set a time to wake up at which the device will come on either in the radio or CD mode. Or you can be 
awakened by an alarm signal. You can save two wake-up times in total.  
• Press the 

ALARM1 

(15) or the 

ALARM2 

(14) button. The time digits will blink in the display.  

• Set the wake up time with the 

/MINUTE 

(12) and 

/HOUR 

(11) buttons and confirm it by pressing either the 

ALARM1 

or 

ALARM2 

button.  

• The LED indicator 

AL.1 

(J) or 

AL.2 

(I) will light up. If you have saved 2 wake up times, both LED indicators will 

come on.  
• Set the desired volume by turning the volume control (23) on the device.  
• Set the 

FUNCTION 

switch (22) to 

CD

, if you would like to be awakened by music from a CD. Make sure that 

there is a CD in the CD compartment (1).  
• Set the 

FUNCTION 

switch to 

AM 

or 

FM

, if you would like to be awakened by the radio. Select the desired radio 

station by means of the 

TUNING 

control (27).  

• Set the 

FUNCTION 

switch to 

BUZZER/AUX IN 

in order to be awakened by an alarm signal.

 

• If the device is switched on by the wake up function, the particular LED indicator 

AL.1 

or 

AL.2 

will blink in the 

display. To switch off the alarm, press on the relevant 

ALARM1 

or 

ALARM2 

button or press on the 

ON/ OFF 

button (17).  

• Delete the wake up time by pressing once on the 

ALARM1 

or 

ALARM2 

button. The LED indicator 

AL.1 

or 

AL.2 

will go out. 

Repeat alarm (SNOOZE) 

 

• If the device is switched on by the wake up function, it can be switched off temporarily by means of the 

SNOOZE 

button (2). The LED indicator 

SNOOZE 

(E) will come on.  

• The device will be switched on again after approx. 5 minutes.  

Programmed switch-off (SLEEP) 

 

• To fall asleep with music, a time of 90, 60, 30 or 15 minutes can be set. After the time has elapsed, the device 
will automatically switch off.  
• Press the 

SLEEP 

button (4) several times to determine the switch-off time. The LED indicator 

SLEEP 

(H) will 

come on in the display.  
• To deactivate the sleep function, press the 

SLEEP 

button as often as it takes until the LED indicator 

SLEEP 

goes out.

 

CD 

• Slide the 

FUNCTION 

switch (22) on the device to 

CD

.  

• Open the CD tray (1) by pressing on the 

OPEN/CLOSE 

CD tray lock (3). The lid of the CD tray will open 

upwards. Never use force to open the CD tray.  
• Remove the shipping safety lock, when you open the CD tray for the first time.  
• Insert a CD into the tray, so that the printed side is facing upward. Press on a point in the cemtre of the CD until 
it locks into place on the axis.  
• Press the CD tray lid down to shut the CD tray. The CD will now be read.  
• Before reopening the CD tray, always make sure that the CD is no longer rotating. Always press on the button 

 (13) first to end the rotation of the CD.  

• To remove the CD, place one finger on the centre of the CD (the middle of the spindle) and another finger on 
the edge of the disc. Pull the CD out carefully.
