11) Direct Play mode.
The Long Player mechanism can be used as a regular turntable allowing a quick way to
play an album without having to load it into the changer mechanism. The Direct mode
will play side A before flipping the record to play side B it will then wait until the record
is removed before entering back into normal Jukebox mode.
To play a record in direct play mode.
•
Make sure the Jukebox mechanism is idle.
•
Make sure shuffle play is off and no records are on the turntable.
•
With the Jukebox idle, open the front door. The display will show ‘Door’ along the
top line.
•
Place the record you wish to play on the Turntable.
•
Press the ‘SPEED’ button to start the record playing at 33 1/3 rpm, the SPEED LED
will light up green to indicate this.
•
If the record playing is a 12” 45rpm, press the SPEED button again to change the
speed to 45, the SPEED LED will light up red to indicate this.
•
The Display will show ‘PLAY’ along the top line to indicate Direct Play is active.
Note: CLOSE AND LOCK THE DOOR ONCE DIRECT PLAY HAS BEEN ACTIVAT-
ED. Before the record starts to play the Gripper Arm will move up to the top position
on the tower, this is normal and ensures the arm is in the correct position to quickly
flip the record once side A has finished.
•
Once side A has finished the Gripper Arm will automatically flip the record and
play side B.
•
When side B has finished the record will be flipped back to side A and left on the
turntable ready to be removed.
•
If you would like to play the record again pressing the SPEED button will restart it.
•
The Display will continue to show ‘PLAY’ until the record is removed from the
turntable, at which point ‘DOOR’ will be displayed.
•
Once the record has been removed, closing and locking the door will return the
Jukebox to normal operation.
During Direct Play:
•
Pressing the Previous button on the remote will restart the same side of the re-
cord.
•
If playing the A side pressing Next will flip the record and play the B side.
•
If playing the B side pressing Next will flip the record back to the A side and end
playback.
•
Pressing Reject Track is the same as pressing Next.
•
Pressing Eject Disk will end playback, if required the record will be flipped back to
the A side.
