Starting streaming
Stream recorded movies by using the
connected network.

Make sure that the connection
settings with the network have
been completed (page 6).

• The network connection starts.
• [STREAMING] can be assigned to
the ASSIGN buttons (page 18). Press
the ASSIGN button to display the
screen for selecting a network
connection method.
• To cancel streaming, press the MENU
button or the ASSIGN button to
which [STREAMING] is assigned, or
select .
• After connecting to the network,
will be displayed on the screen, and
streaming will be in standby.

Press the THUMBNAIL button to
start streaming.
• The icon displayed on the screen will
switch to .
Tips
• You can start streaming by pressing the ASSIGN
button to which [STREAM OPERATION] is
assigned (page 18).
• An XAVC or AVCHD movie can be recorded to
a memory card while streaming. Press the
START/STOP button when streaming is in
standby. The recording lamp lights up and
recording starts. To stop recording, press the
START/STOP button again.
• If errors occur in streaming standby or while
streaming, a message will be displayed
according to the situation. If [RECONNECT] is
displayed, select it to reconnect to the network.
If you select [END], the connection stops. Try
again from step 1.
Notes
• The streaming function is not available when the
camcorder is used under the following
conditions.
– While recording movies
– While playing back movies
– While displaying the thumbnails
– AVCHD 1080/60p, 1080/50p, 720/60p,
720/50p
– DV
• When the streaming function is enabled, the
following functions are not available.
– SIMUL/RELAY REC
– Proxy recording
– DATE REC
– FACE DETECTION
– COLOR BAR
– D. EXTENDER
– S&Q MOTION
– NIGHTSHOT
• When [AIRPLANE MODE] is set to [ON],
streaming is available only via wired LAN.
• While streaming, the camcorder does not turn
off, even if the LCD screen is closed and the
viewfinder is returned to its original position.
• Because video/audio data is being transferred
via the Internet while streaming, the data may be
leaked.
• Be sure that the transmission destination can
receive the streaming data.
• The data may be missent to an unintended party
because of setting mistakes of the address.
• The frames may not be played depending on the
status of the network.
• The picture quality may deteriorate in scenes
with excessive motion.
Operating the camcorder while
streaming
The following functions are available while
streaming. You can operate using the
hardware keys, such as switches or buttons.
You cannot operate from the menu screen.
