Customizing Your VAIO Computer
Changing/Removing the Power-on Password
To change or remove the power-on password

Turn on the computer.

Press the F2 key when the VAIO logo appears.

Enter the current password for Enter Current Password:
The BIOS setup screen appears.

key to select Security on the Boot menu to display another screen, select Change Supervisor
Password, and then press the Enter key.

On the password entry screen, enter a new password twice, and press the Enter key.
To remove the password, leave the Enter Password field blank and press the Enter key.

Press the Esc key.

Use the

key to select Exit and select Exit (Save Changes); and then press the Enter key.
On the Setup Confirmation screen, confirm that OK is selected and then press the Enter key.
