Upgrading Your VAIO Computer

To install the IDE device

!

If you remove the covers and panels immediately after you shut down the computer, the internal components may be too hot to touch. Wait about one 
hour to let the components cool down before you attempt to remove the panel.

Shut down the computer and turn off all peripheral devices, such as a printer.

2

Unplug the computer and disconnect any peripheral devices.

3

Push the button (1) to open the hard disk cover, remove the cover, and set it aside.
