Setting the Baud Rate
When controlling the printer with a computer connected to
the printer’s RS-232C connector, select the appropriate
baud rate. For details, contact your nearest Sony dealer.

Display the SYSTEM SETUP menu from the
PRINTER SETUP menu.

Select the BAUDRATE item, then select the desired
baud rate by pressing the
< or , button.
Printing Menu Configurations
You can print almost all menu configurations, with the
exception of some menus.
Notes
• The configurations of SAVE USER of the SYSTEM
SETUP menu and SAVE COLOR of the COLOR
ADJUST menu cannot be printed.
• Set the number of copies to “1”. Otherwise multiple
copies will be printed.
• Correctly load the ink ribbon and paper, and ensure no
error message is displayed.

Display the SYSTEM SETUP screen from the
PRINTER SETUP menu.

Select PARAM PRINT and press the EXEC button.
The menu configurations are printed.
Displaying the Ink Ribbon Type and
Remaining Amount of the Ink Ribbon
You can always display the remaining amount on the video
monitor.
Note
Use the ribbon remaining display as a criterion.

Display the OUTPUT SETUP menu.

Select the RBN REMAIN item, then select whether or
not the type of ink ribbon and the remaining amount
are to be displayed on the monitor.
Ink ribbon information
Registering a User Set
You can store up to three settings of all the printer
specifications set or adjusted by using the buttons or the
menu, and store those settings as a user set. The printer
retains these setting - even if you turn off the power.
Thus, different operators can make printouts with different
settings by recalling the appropriate user set.
If the data of the recalled user set is modified, the printer
operates according to the modified data. In such a case, the
modified data remains effective until another user set is
recalled on the PRINTER SETUP menu, even if you turn
off the power.
After you finish all of the required settings, proceed as
follows to register them as a user set.

If you do not want to name a user set, go to step 4.
