• A.F.D. AUTO: Auto Format Direct Auto
• PRO LOGIC: Performs Pro Logic decoding.
The source recorded in 2 channels is decoded
into 4.1 channels.
• PL II MUSIC: Performs the Pro Logic II
music mode decoding. This setting is ideal for
normal stereo sources such as CDs.
• PL II MOVIE: Performs Pro Logic II movie
mode decoding. This setting is ideal for
movies encoded in Dolby Surround. In
addition, this mode can reproduce sound in
5.1 channels when watching videos of
overdubbed or old movies.
• SBS MULTI: Sound Broad System Multi
mode. This mode lets you enjoy audio
playback of all types of discs from multiple
speakers.
• LINK: The front speaker channels are output
at both the front and surround speaker.
• VIRTUAL: Creates 5 sets of virtual speakers
surrounding the listener from a single pair of
actual surround speakers.
Notes
• For MHC-RV999D/RV888D, if “NONE” is selected
in surround speaker setup, no sound will be output
from the surround speakers even if “LINK” or
“LINK SURR” is selected.
• For some discs, the surround effect may not be as
much as expected.
