• The sound field is changed to LINK if the current
sound field is SBS MULTI, A.F.D. AUTO, PRO
LOGIC, PLII MOVIE or PLII MUSIC when
– Karaoke mode is activated
– Key control is activated
– Microphone is connected
• The sound field is changed to HP 2CH if the current
sound field is HP VIRTUAL when
– Karaoke mode is activated
– Key control is activated
– Microphone is connected
• With some songs, vocals may not be canceled when
you select “KARAOKE PON”.
• If you select “KARAOKE PON”, the instrumental
sound may be reduced as well as the singer’s voice
when the sound is recorded in monaural.
• If the disc changes, karaoke mode is canceled.
• Karaoke mode and key control is cancelled when you
change the function from DVD to the other.
• When you are playing a multiplex VIDEO CD with
one language sound is recorded on one channel and
other language sound is recorded on another channel,
you can select the language sound you want by
selecting “MPX L” or “MPX R”.
• The singer’s voice may not be reduced when:
– only a few instruments are playing.
– a duet is being played back.
– the source has strong echoes or chorus.
– the singer’s voice deviates from the center.
– the voice on the source is singing in high soprano
or tenor.
• When “TAPE A” or “TAPE B” is selected, you will
not hear any sound from microphone if you use the
AMS function.
Tip
You cannot select KARAOKE PON, MPX L or
MPX R for discs with JPEG image files.
You can “mix” sounds from any one of the
function and singing or speaking into a
microphone.
The mixed sound can be recorded on a tape.
Use buttons on the unit for the operation.

Turn MIC LEVEL to MIN to turn down
the microphone volume.

Connect an optional microphone to
MIC jack.

Prepare the music source you want to
mix. Then, insert a recordable tape in
deck B.

Press the function button of the source
you want to record (e.g., DVD).
If you want to record from TAPE A, press
TAPE A/B repeatedly until TAPE A is
selected.

Press REC PAUSE/START.
The REC PAUSE/START indicator
flashes. Deck B stand by for recording.

Press DIRECTION repeatedly to select
“
g
” to record on one side. Select
“
j
” (or “RELAY”) to record on both
sides.

Press REC PAUSE/START.
REC PAUSE/START indicator lights up.
Recording starts.

Start playing the source to be
recorded.
Start singing along with the music.

Adjust the microphone volume by
turning MIC LEVEL.

After you have finished
Turn MIC LEVEL to MIN and disconnect the
microphone from MIC jack.
