RDS SYSTEM
This car radio is capable of receiving RDS signals (RDS =
Radio Data System) in the VHF range. RDS is a technique
which enables the transmission of inaudible additional infor-
mation in the VHF broadcasting range. This means that the
transmitter broadcasts information which can be evaluated by
the car radio.
DAS Seek Qual. plane
In the
DAS Seek Qual.
plane, all receivable and identifiable
RDS programmes are arranged in a list according to quality.
The dynamic autostore, search and scan search functions fall
back upon this list.
DAS Seek Name plane
In the
DAS Seek Name
plane, all receivable and identifiable
RDS programmes are alphabetically arranged in a list accord-
ing to name. The dynamic autostore, search and scan search
functions fall back upon this list.
Stations RDS plane
In the
Stations RDS
plane, only identified RDS stations
can be stored. The unit constantly switches to the best receiv-
able transmission frequency for the station.
During the search on
Stations RDS
the unit only stops at
identifiable stations.
Stations Fix plane
In the
Stations Fix
plane, frequencies can be assigned to
the station buttons. RDS evaluation does not take place. The
search on
Stations Fix
is applicable to FM manual tuning
(page 117).
